Mi historia con la pintura empezó extraoficialmente en una mañana de colegio. Yo estaba al fondo del salón recibiendo una clase soporífera, no recuerdo si era de sociales o español.  Después de algunos repentinos cabeceos las únicas herramientas que encontré a mano para mantenerme despierto fueron lápiz y papel. En cuestión de segundos seleccioné el personaje central de la obra: mi maestra, una mujer de unos 45 años, de cabello negro engominado y una falda repleta de cuadros desde la cintura hasta las puntas de los pies. La miré con el mismo grado de atención que ponían los estudiantes ubicados de primeros en la fila, como si estuviera absorto en su retahíla de palabras que luego transcribiría en el papel. Dibujé algunas líneas, borré, corregí   trazos de más. Al terminar, arranqué con disimulo la hoja, la doble un par de veces y se la pasé a mi compañero de al lado cuando la profe\' se giró hacia el pizarrón. Lo miré con el rabillo del ojo y compartimos una sonrisa cómplice que desapareció de mi cara cuando vi que se lo paso a Enrique, el compañero que tenía al frente. Enrique luego se la pasó a Francisco y de ahí terminó en manos de Alberto. Desde ahí no supe muy bien lo que estaba pasando. No quería.   Por algo dicen que un artista pierde el control de su obra una vez que la publica. El papel siguió su destino multiplicando el número de   miradas cómplices. Ahora sí me llevo el que me trajo, pensé.   El ascenso a la fama demasiado pronto tiene consecuencias. Dejé de mirar alrededor para no sentirme culpable, pero la huella de la hoja rota en mi cuaderno me señalaba con un dedo que parecía venir del más allá. Mi obra, gracias al murmullo ascendente de mis compañeros, terminó en manos de la profe\'. Estaba acabado. La bola de nieve que yo inicie con la mera intención de aplacar el sueño  ahora se devolvía hacía mí violentando la ley de la gravedad.   Si hubiera tenido un título mi trabajo se habría llamado quizá La maestra en el retrete. Así que como se puede imaginar, ella no tardo en ponerle precio a mi cabeza. La discreción, que para mi desgracia jamás fue una de las grandes virtudes de mis compañeros, aceleró el momento de mi sentencia. Me sacaron de las orejas hasta la rectoría. Me dieron un surtido de reglazos por las manos. Me suspendieron una semana de clase. Y en el mediano plazo, ese año académico lo perdí. Eso le pasa a uno por dárselas de chistoso cuando tiene uno  un profesor que le dicta clases para todas las materias. En esos días cuando trataba de encontrarle una explicación al \'efecto mariposa\' de mi dibujo nunca encontré una respuesta satisfactoria. Pero hoy, con la sabiduría de los años y la evolución semántica de las palabras,  puedo resumir en un par de vocablos porque esto me pasó: POR ARTISTA, como dicen socarronamente los jóvenes de hoy.

The estimated delivery time for Artelista fine art prints is 5-7 working days, whereas in the case of original artworks, it would vary depending on the origin country. Once the artist notifies us the artwork is ready for shipment, the delivery will be in the following 24-72 hours, These delivery times may be altered by custom clearance events, especially when the origin country of the artwork belongs to a different cross-national agreement (EU,NAFTA,etc.). here. Shipments from Argentina, Colombia or Cuba need of a special authorization for the exportation of artworks, so it is important to have this into account when calculating the delivery date.


Bear in mind we are dealing with works of art, so they may be in an exhibition (actually, this is awesome!). Those artworks which are in an exhibition are usually displayed as “non-available”. In case the artwork has been put up for sale, take into account the artist would have to manage with the organization of the exhibition the return of the artwork in order to be able to realize the shipment.
